Mackie MCU PRO Control Universal Pro is an automated control panel. The MIDI controller MCU can operate in one of three modes: Mackie Control, HUI, Logic Control. The MCU has eight channel strips (access to other channels is possible by switching banks).
Each channel strip has a multifunctional rotary V-Pot (for controlling panoramas, sends, equalizers, dynamics processing, plug-ins) with LED position indicators and the ability to press, buttons for record enable, solo, mute, and channel select.
Motorized touch-sensitive fader, LED signal presence indicator. It also has a master fader, jog/shuttle/scrub wheel, separate controls for transport functions, cursor, automation, and functional modes.
The LCD display (with backlighting) has two lines of 55 characters for parameters and level indication, a two-character LED display for channel settings, a ten-character LED display for timecode. Expansion is possible using MCU XT devices (eight channels, like MCU, but without the master section) and Mackie Control C 4.
Connection to the computer is made through MIDI, separate MIDI input and output are required for each device (main and additional). The MCU has two assignable pedal switch inputs, an assignable foot pedal input, MIDI input and output, an input for the included power adapter. Updating the operating system is possible via MIDI.
