The EleMent Wave LAV is a complete system that lets you capture great-sounding dialogue, interviews, and speech. It includes a compact and lightweight clip-on transmitter with its own built-in microphone for quick grab-and-go situations. For a truly wireless experience, the transmitter can be clipped on clothing without having to wire yourself or your talent. You can also hold the transmitter in your hand and use it as a handheld microphone.
For a more discreet setup, the transmitter also comes with a separate cardioid lavalier microphone, which can be easily concealed away from the camera's eye. The lav has its own furry windshield to reduce wind noise in outdoor shoots.
The equally compact receiver mounts on your camera or clips on your smartphone and connects to your recording device using the included 3.5mm output cables. If your camera doesn't have a headphone jack, you can monitor your sound via the 3.5mm headphone jack while recording to ensure that you are capturing a clean signal. The system delivers secure transmission with 128-bit encryption and clear sound at a line-of-sight distance up to 230'. The built-in rechargeable batteries provide up to 7 hours of operation and recharge via USB. Up to 6 EleMent Wave systems can be used simultaneously at the same location. A deluxe carrying case is provided to securely store and transport your equipment.
Simple 1-Button Operation
Turn-On the transmitter and receiver and just press one button to quickly pair them. The system automatically finds the cleanest frequency to avoid dropouts. Status LEDs on the transmitter and receiver indicates device pairing, muting, battery level, and more.
Ultracompact Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Mic and Lavalier Mic
The exceptionally lightweight and ultracompact transmitter measures only 1.1 x 1.5 x 2" and weights just 1.1 oz. The transmitter is equipped with a built-in microphone and a 3.5mm mic input that accepts the included lavalier microphone. The lavalier microphone features a directional cardioid polar pattern that helps to reject unwanted background sound, making it ideal in environments with loud sound reinforcement. A momentary switch enables you to mute the mic. Dedicated gain buttons on the transmitter allow quick, mic-level adjustments. The transmitter can be easily concealed in a pocket or discreetly attached to the waist with the included belt clip.
Ultracompact Clip-On Receiver with Headphone Monitoring
The ultracompact receiver measures only 1.1 x 1.5 x 2". The receiver features a belt clip, which also doubles as a shoemount adapter for your camera. In the absence of a smartphone holder, the receiver can also be clamped to your smartphone using the belt clip. Headphone jack for real-time monitoring. Dedicated gain buttons on the receiver allow quick and effortless adjustment of the signal level.
2.4 GHz Digital Wireless
To avoid interference from TV and radio waves, the EleMent Wave LAV digital system operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency band—far away from television, radio, and UHF wireless microphone transmissions. The system automatically changes transmission frequency to mitigate noise and dropouts at a line-of-sight distance up to 230'. For optimal performance, environments with limited Wi-Fi / 2.4 GHz traffic and minimal physical obstructions are recommended.
