Description

The Mackie Big Knob Passive is a desktop monitor controller. This device allows for easy switching between or using together 2 pairs of monitors, 2 audio sources, and controlling the volume with a large and convenient knob. The Mackie Big Knob Passive has a passive circuitry, does not require a power source, and as a result, does not introduce any changes to the audio signal. The front panel features Mono, Mute, and Dim functions, which are responsible for converting the stereo signal to mono, completely muting (-100 dB), and dimming the audio source (-20 dB) respectively. The rear panel includes 4 1/4'' TS inputs for the audio source, 4 1/4'' TS outputs for the monitors, and an input for an external audio source on a 3.5mm miniJack connector. The 1/4'' TS inputs and outputs support balanced and unbalanced signals. The Mackie Big Knob Passive is housed in a very sturdy steel casing with rubber feet. The device is an ideal solution for providing complete control over two pairs of monitors. With its compact size, convenience, and ease of use, the device fits perfectly into any workspace.
