Led Zeppelin II is Led Zeppelin's second studio album, released in 1969. The album was recorded at various studios in the US and UK. The album influenced the songwriting approach of other 1970s hard rock bands, who now used the riff rather than the refrain as the main element of their compositions. Led Zeppelin's sound was also influenced by their collaboration with engineer Eddie Kramer, who had previously worked with Jimi Hendrix.
