The G111 MK2 amplifier is an upgraded version of the popular original G111. It boasts a range of improvements that set it apart from its predecessor.
One notable enhancement is its exceptionally low noise level. Thanks to advanced internal amplification technology, the amplifier produces negligible self-generated noise, rendering it completely inaudible.
Another standout feature is its high output voltage. With an internal operating voltage of 60 volts, the G111 MK2 surpasses over 90% of competing headphone amplifiers in this regard, making it especially well-suited for high impedance headphones.
Additionally, the G111 MK2 offers impressive output power. Its powerful amplifiers have the capability to deliver increased currents, making it ideal for low impedance headphones, including magnetoplanar models.
The amplifier's high damping factor is also worth noting. With an output impedance of merely 0.15 Ohm, the G111 MK2 grants precise control over a wide range of headphones, ensuring a flawlessly smooth response.
As for its features, the G111 MK2 is equipped with a seamless ALPS RK27 potentiometer for volume control and a power supply with a toroidal transformer. It boasts a high output voltage and can deliver a power of 1200 mW at 32 Ohm. It offers 5 distinct gain positions and utilizes V100 technology, featuring 4 transistors per channel. It has an extended frequency range of up to 150 kHz and a dynamic range of 129 dB. All of this is housed in a compact aluminum enclosure.
