An incredible collaboration inspired by nature, T10 Bespoke Mushroom Dreams is our second with MycoWorks—who produces Reishi (the world’s first fully vegan leather made from Mycelium, the root structure of mushrooms). Mycoworks past collaborations include work with Hermes and Ligne Roset. The company is a trail blazer in the creation of sustainable material for fashion and automotive industries that can fully replace animal-based leathers.
Mycelium in its natural form is intricate, beautiful, and strong. As are the forms and structure of the T10 Bespoke in-ear computers. And because T10 Bespoke is also fully renewable, sustainable, and infinitely repairable and upgradeable, Reishi leather cover inserts are a perfect marriage. To further celebrate this collaboration, we called upon fermentation expert and bio-designer Jason White of @Microbes_vibes who developed a radial mycelium-patterned art work which was three-dimensionalized into an embossing stamp to add a luscious texture to the Reishi vegan leather. Subsequently, a UV-cured eco-ink produced by Roland adds color, shadow, and further visual intrigue. Finally, we called upon internationally-acclaimed jewelry designer Tomas Wittelsbach to sculpt the Mycelium root pattern into the solid-cast 925 Sterling Silver, which was back-filled with metallic brown enamel to mimic dirt. YTPZ ceramic has been Cerakote finished in chocolate brown to match, with polished obsidian black YTPZ ceramic accents.
This latest symphony of sustainability and style features natural grain Reishi leather embossed with a radial Mycelium root pattern. 925 Sterling Silver has been sculpted and cast to mirror the complexity of the Mycelium root structure and backfilled with metallic brown enamel to accentuate the intricate beauty of this pattern. Obsidian black YTPZ ceramic accents have been covered in chocolate brown Cerakote to further celebrate the natural beauty of Mycellium.
