Summit Pumori is equipped with the patented JBL 1.5-inch (38 mm) dual-range compression driver D2815K with a double diaphragm and two drivers connected to the widescreen Sonoglass® sound signal.

The Summit Pumori sound is based on an 8-inch (200 mm) low-frequency driver with a cast frame and a 10-inch (250 mm) low-frequency driver with a cast frame, both using a triple-layer hybrid carbon composite cone (HC4) made from carbon fiber front and back surfaces and pure cellulose, connected with a foam core. This hybrid cone construction provides the necessary rigidity, total mass, and design for high performance, low distortion, and high power.
Signal distribution to each driver in the Summit Pumori is managed using the MultiCap™ crossover network with single-wire connection and dual amplifier/bi-wire connection.
By replacing traditional large capacitors with more smaller capacitors, the design lowers ESR (electrostatic resistance) and reduces losses. This results in greater signal bandwidth for the drivers, improved control, enhanced dynamics, ultra-low distortion, and exceptional sound clarity.
All drivers and crossover components are housed in a well-designed cabinet with internally braced multi-layer supports and dampened curved wall construction to minimize standing waves inside the cabinet. Cabinets are available in various finishes: glossy black with Summit platinum inserts or glossy black wood veneer with Summit gold inserts.
To secure the Summit Pumori to the floor, a high-load damping stand with specially designed isolating JBL | IsoAcoustic® feet is used to resist vibrations from the speaker system, effectively isolating the loudspeaker from the surface it is placed on. This isolation provides richer bass, improved soundstage, and clearer imaging with a greater sense of space.
