The ZEN CAN from iFi features a discrete Class A balanced circuit from the top-of-the-line Pro iCAN and delivers a serious power of 1.6 W at 32 ohms. The signal reception is managed by an operational amplifier (OV2637A) with low-impedance feedback. The gain coefficient is adjustable with a 4-position switch in 6 dB increments. The dual-channel 3D Holographic analog matrices provide an almost perfect stereo scene, while the XBass equalizer compensates for the bass range drop. Connection options include a 6.3mm audio jack and a 4.4mm balanced Pentaconn. On the back side, there are also unbalanced analog input, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 4.4mm balanced Pentaconn. The balanced output (4.4mm Pentaconn) allows the ZEN CAN to be used as a preamplifier. Features:
- Panasonic ECPU capacitors, TDK C0G ceramic (Class 1), and muRata;
- MELF resistors;
- Low-noise chips from Texas Instruments;
- Tokyo Cosmos Electric Co. (TOCOS) multi-channel potentiometer;
- iFi OV series operational amplifiers.
Included in the package:
- amplifier;
