A quantum leap has just been made:
The original iPhono model received top ratings in the price range up to $1000. Maintaining the essence and successful principles of the design, we started from scratch and step by step created the new iPhono2 model. The design, circuitry, and components allowed us to achieve:
- An ultra-wide gain range - up to a remarkable 75 dB, with a minimum of 36 dB, providing compatibility with all types of cartridges
- Very low levels of self-noise: signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 86 dB - 10 dB more than the original
- Unmatched linearity: borrowing the latest development from AMR, the tube circuit operates strictly in Class A
- Direct drive output circuitry for a straight connection without passive components in the signal path with a gain range from 0 to infinity
- No capacitors or other DC isolation circuits means a complete absence of noise and distortion introduced into the audio chain. Impressive sound characteristics achievable with any type of cartridge, from Shure V15 to Koetsu Coralstone, rightfully opening the listener's heart and soul to vinyl records.
