Description

The iFi audio NEO iDSD2 DAC/headphone amplifier is equipped with cutting-edge audio technologies and is designed for audiophiles who demand high-quality sound. The device is housed in a metal case with a stylish front panel featuring a large volume control knob in the center.

Features:

  • Balanced circuitry to expand the dynamic range
  • Latest Bluetooth with support for CD Audio Lossless transmission
  • Analog circuitry with audiophile-grade components
  • Supports PCM 32 bit / 768 kHz and DSD 512, MQA

On the left side of the device, a display shows the operating modes, while buttons on the right control its functions. The iFi audio NEO iDSD2 can be set up horizontally or vertically (the display automatically adjusts to the orientation).

The digital-to-analog converter in this model has a four-channel architecture, allowing for a fully balanced circuitry that expands the dynamic range of sound by significantly reducing noise. The DAC can handle PCM signals up to 32 bit / 768 kHz and DSD 512, as well as decode MQA for compatibility with modern digital content. The extremely precise femtosecond clock generator reduces jitter levels and eliminates associated distortions.

For signal input, the iFi audio NEO iDSD2 has optical, coaxial, and USB-B inputs. There is also a BNC input for sync signal and a mini-jack 3.5mm analog input. Outputs include unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR for connecting amplifiers. Signal levels can be adjusted to connect the device directly to power amplifiers. Headphone outputs on the front panel include unbalanced (6.3mm jack) and balanced (4.4mm jack) options. The analog circuitry of the iFi audio NEO iDSD2 is balanced and crafted using high-quality audiophile-grade components.

A standout feature of this model is the use of the latest Bluetooth version 5.4 technology. It supports the aptX Lossless codec, capable of transmitting signals from compatible devices at a bitrate of up to 1200 kbps, equivalent to the full bitrate of uncompressed CD Audio, unlike previous codec versions.

Package includes:

  • DAC
  • Power cable
  • Documentation

Bluetooth version

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology that allows you to connect headphones or portable speakers, a stereo system or a soundbar to your smartphone or laptop. For a certain version to work, both devices must support it. The versions differ in data transfer speed, power consumption, securing data transfer, anti-interference ability and range of connection.
