Description

Released at the end of 2021, the "new" HIFIMAN Deva Pro is a kind of continuation of the original Deva, released in early 2020.

Features:

  • Bluetooth: 5.0;
  • Bluetooth chipset: Qualcomm QCC5124;
  • battery life: 6-7 hours;
  • frequency range 20 Hz - 20,000 Hz;
  • codecs: LDAC, aptX-HD, aptX, AAC, SBC;
  • headphones headband has an ergonomic comfortable, almost weightless design;
  • improved diaphragm and perfect sound quality thanks to the hidden magnet.

Unlike ordinary magnets that create distortions of sound waves, the special Stealth Magnets shape allows waves to pass through the magnets without interference. The advanced HiFiMAN magnet design is acoustically transparent, significantly reducing diffraction turbulence that disrupts the integrity of sound waves. Reduced distortion allows for clean, accurate, and full-range sound.

The new Deva Pro still uses a circular planar driver in an open-back housing with an ultra-thin NEO "supernano" (NSD) diaphragm. This is what HIFIMAN has been using in its high-class speakers for several years. It's all about the thickness of the diaphragm, which is at the nanometer level. The search for the thinnest diaphragm first appeared in the HE1000 model back in late 2015, and since then it has undergone subsequent modifications to an even thinner level, as in the Deva Pro. The material is not only lightweight and low mass, but also dense, truly durable, and designed to achieve very high-quality fast dynamic response compared to conventional planar diaphragms.

The Bluemini R2R module easily connects to the left socket. Conversion is done using the HIMALAYA R2R chipset based on resistors in NOS mode. Decoding is done from aptX, aptX HD to LDAC 24/96 kHz with support for AAC and SBC. Bluemini R2R also allows for digital sound output directly to the Deva Pro using the USB-DAC function. This can be applied to a wide range of digital audio-compatible devices such as PC, Mac, and OTG via Android. This signal will be decoded by the built-in DAC and converted into an analog signal for transmission to the amplifier chipset.

Package includes:

  • headphones;
  • Bluemini R2R module;
  • documentation.

Bluetooth version

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology that allows you to connect headphones or portable speakers, a stereo system or a soundbar to your smartphone or laptop. For a certain version to work, both devices must support it. The versions differ in data transfer speed, power consumption, securing data transfer, anti-interference ability and range of connection.

Codec support

To take advantage of a particular codec it must be supported by both devices

Glossary of terms

Impedance, Ohms

No higher than 32 Ohms for smartphone headphones. When using a good player or amplifier, it can be up to 100 Ohms. For stationary models you should coordinate the impedance with the amplifier power

Driver type

Most of the headphones are dynamic but there are electrostatic, isodynamic, etc.

Glossary of terms
isodynamic

It has a flat diffuser that is a very light, thin membrane with tracks of a "sound coil" put to it.
