Introduced in 2019, the Successor Heritage Audio stereo mixbus compressor became the first of its kind, finally allowing creative engineers and musicians to apply warm, colorful, and spacious compression, while previously only clean and transparent VCA-based processors were available for these purposes.
Previously, devices like VCA compressors, based on microchips, were responsible for compression, completely unrelated to the warmth, fullness, and characteristics typically found in Class A discrete technology, including compact transformers and gain reduction based on diode bridges.

The Carnhill transformer-equipped input-output device is a true-stereo diode bridge mixbus compressor with extended sidechain filtering and built-in parallel processing capabilities, as well as the Class A 73 output stage that Heritage Audio is renowned for.
