The OST-6 V2 series 500 chassis is designed for installing any modules and devices from the series 500, including double-width modules and even the most demanding Class A constructions.

The OST-6 V2 chassis uses Heritage Audio's On Slot technology, providing maximum protection, filtering, and isolation for each channel. While most series 500 chassis on the market have a relatively simple power supply block, essentially powering each channel in parallel, each channel of the OST-6 V2 chassis has its own power source, individually regulated and isolated from the rest.
This ensures that each installed series 500 module will operate at its maximum potential, and that no "power-hungry" or even faulty module will jeopardize the performance of another. In addition to reducing interference, many series 500 devices demonstrate lower self-noise levels and better performance when installed in the OST-6 V2 chassis, especially microphone preamps.
A new and interesting feature in the V2 model is the Link function, which allows you to connect each channel to the next with a push of a button (via the rear panel), without the need for patch cables.
Many experienced engineers are aware of some "power-hungry" Class A or vacuum tube-based modules that may cause modules in series 500 racks to fail or not work, or simply not work in some standard chassis. The OST-6 V2 ensures the broadest compatibility with all series 500 modules, ensuring that "demanding" modules receive the necessary power and that neighboring modules remain unaffected.
