No other amplifier on the market can provide electrostatic headphones with such precision, drive, and control as the Blue Hawaii SE. Paired with Dan Clark Audio Corina, Stax SR-X9000, or Audeze CRBN headphones, they come to life thanks to the detail, transparency, and low-frequency adjustment unheard of when using smaller amplifiers. With more power than any other commercial electrostatic headphone amplifier, the Blue Hawaii SE can be used in any audio system, and its modern design will always be admired.
Features:
- Japan ALPS RK50 volume control;
- 580V headphone output;
- compatible with Sennheiser HE90/HE60;
- output tubes 4x EL34/6CA7;
- 54 dB gain;
- amplifier weight 6.4 kg / power supply weight 7.7 kg.
The Blue Hawaii SE is available with two volume control options. The first is a 24-step attenuator, ensuring perfect channel matching at every possible volume level. For those who require infinitely detailed volume control, the amplifier comes with the Japanese ALPS RK50 potentiometer, the highest quality component in its segment, giving you the freedom to adjust the volume without sacrificing sound quality.
The Blue Hawaii SE also comes with two types of feet. Precision machined and finished aluminum feet with spikes match the color of the front panels and tube rings and are compatible with various audiophile isolation platforms. Also available are a set of rubber feet with different isolation characteristics and a scratch-free option for delicate surfaces.
The HeadAmp Blue Hawaii SE uses a hybrid transistor-lamp schema based on Kevin Gilmore's design. The amplifier can deliver a peak voltage of 1600 V and is powered by a regulated +/-400 V power supply in a separate enclosure to reduce noise levels.
Package includes:
- ALPS RK50 amplifier;
- power supply;
- documentation.
