Fostex TH909 is a flagship model of premium open-back headphones, based on the successful closed-back model TH900mk2.
TH909 has the same sound characteristics but offers a much wider soundstage due to the open-back design and improved acoustic circuit design. The headphones reproduce a wide dynamic range with low distortion thanks to the use of dynamic 50mm drivers with neodymium magnet and Tesla technology. The diaphragm, created using the unique Biodyna technology (a blend of bio-cellulose and inorganic fiber), allows for rich low frequencies, natural mids, and crystal-clear highs.
The stylish body made of Japanese decorative cherry birch is treated with the patented Japan Lacquer Bordeaux coating by Sa-kamoto Urushi Factory. The connector parts are rhodium-plated, providing durability and corrosion protection. The headphones come with a detachable unbalanced cable made of oxygen-free copper, carrying case, comfortable ear pads, and a desktop stand.
