The body is made from solid black walnut wood, featuring intricate thread-like carvings reminiscent of traditional Japanese woodwork. The open-back design provides excellent acoustic characteristics. Each pair of headphones is meticulously assembled in Japan, blending "Japanese" aesthetics with exceptional acoustic engineering for a premium listening experience.
Semi-open-back Design
Crafted from solid black walnut wood, each element may display variations in grain, bark, color, knots, etc., without affecting sound quality. The high-quality wood and open-back design are structured to resemble the glow of sunlight filtering through trees, reducing weight, increasing rigidity, and minimizing unwanted resonance through the suppression of modal vibrations.
The Fostex TH616 delivers natural sound reproduction covering rich, deep bass to subdued, extended high-frequency range.
Biodyna Diaphragm made of Ultra-thin Biocellulose Fiber
By combining biocellulose fiber with other fibers and materials under optimal conditions, Fostex achieves low specific weight, high Young's modulus, and high internal losses. The diaphragm accurately reproduces finely-detailed, high-resolution mid-high frequencies while the free edge efficiently reproduces low frequencies with large amplitude.
Durable Magnetic Circuit
Equipped with a 50mm driver and a magnetic flux density of 1 Tesla, the robust magnetic circuit ensures low distortion and a wide dynamic range. The updated driver provides precise reproduction of low and high frequencies, enabling accurate sound localization and field reproduction.
High-quality and Lightweight Mechanical Components
Aluminum is widely used for mechanical components, ensuring high quality and low weight. Resin with high specific weight is used for partitions to reduce resonance noise, providing high resolution, rich mid frequencies, and high-quality low-frequency reproduction.
High-performance Pure Copper Headphone Cable
HiFC high-quality pure copper cables with excellent conductivity accurately reproduce all frequency ranges. Cable terminals and connection points on the headphone housing are rhodium-plated for increased hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, enhancing reliability.
