This is the latest model of RP technology headphones, which have been used in professional music studios around the world for over 50 years since their inception. T60RP mk2 is an updated version of the well-established T60RP with a planar RP driver of the 4th generation, originally developed and manufactured by Fostex and installed in a durable black walnut housing. T60RP is a new generation of headphones with a flat diaphragm for listening, with a completely new housing design and precise sound tuning thanks to the new driver. RP technology is Fostex's patented technology that moves the entire surface of the flat diaphragm in a constant phase (Regular Phase).
Semi-open type housing
The housing made of black walnut with a beautiful texture and natural texture allows you to enjoy natural sound, which is pleasant to listen to, from rich and deep bass to muted and extended high frequency range. The housing is made of natural wood, so each element may have differences in grain, bark, color, knots, etc., but this will not affect the sound quality.
RP driver evolved to the 4th generation
The RP technology, which has been improved with its own developments over 50 years, has been used in the 4th generation RP drivers. In addition, the components of the magnetic circuit have been redesigned to optimize the distribution of the magnetic flux, which has suppressed unwanted diaphragm resonance and achieved sharp response to sound increase and decrease. The fourth generation driver, developed with the full implementation of various technologies that have been perfected over many years, simultaneously provides increased sensitivity and smooth frequency characteristics for monitoring convenience, and excellent transient characteristics.
The new driver provides precise and refined reproduction of low and high frequencies, allowing more accurate localization and reproduction of the sound field. Moreover, as in the past, the new product is distinguished by reliable quality thanks to integrated production at the company's own factory in Japan.
Independent Y-shaped cable connection for convenience
Connectors are provided on both left and right housings, and a newly designed Y-shaped cable is used. 3.5mm diameter 2-pole connectors improve compatibility when reconnecting cables and increase versatility. The cable uses high-quality OFC sound conductor.
Comfortable ear pads
The low elasticity ear pads fit snugly to the ear, providing a comfortable fit for long listening sessions. These ear pads are soft to the touch and provide high-quality sound from low to high frequencies.
