The special 50th anniversary model is different from the existing T60RP in that it was made in Japan and each unit was carefully assembled with new acoustic adjustments and a choice of earpads based on your preferences. The speaker diaphragm developed in-house, using Fostex Regular Phase (RP) technology, is made of a polyamide film with etched copper foil. The neodymium magnet enables wide-frequency reproduction and excellent transient response characteristics, allowing the headphones to handle input power of up to 3000 mW.
Equipped with the traditional RP diaphragm from Fostex, the flat RP diaphragm differs from conventional dynamic cone-type diaphragms. It is made of a heat-resistant polyamide film based on etched copper foil. The control unit with a neodymium magnet ensures excellent linearity, a natural frequency response from low to high frequencies, good transient characteristics, and a high input resistance of up to 3000 mW.
The body is made of a solid piece of high-quality African paddock wood that stands out for its hardness, high density, excellent dimensional stability, and beautiful wooden surface. This wood is commonly used in making instruments like xylophones and guitars. The combination of the solid wood body with the expressive RP diaphragm allows you to enjoy the depth and brilliance of the rich mid-low range, as well as a comfortable sound quality in the subdued and extended high range.
The beautiful wooden body made from African padauk wood adds depth and additional tonal color to the signature sound of the speaker. Made from natural wood, each body may vary in grain, bark, color, knots, etc., but this does not affect the sound quality. The headphones feature a TRRS 3.5mm jack with four contacts, allowing for balanced connection to achieve clear high-level audio playback without noise.
The key element of such transparent sound reproduction is the Regulated Phase - a proprietary technology for manufacturing speakers and diaphragms. 2 Types of Earpads
The package includes two types of earpads: synthetic leather and velour, which can be replaced according to your preference. Earpads that cover the ears are designed to provide comfortable fit during long hours of listening. Synthetic leather earpads are pre-installed before shipment.
Cable
The connectors on the earcups can be used with different cables depending on the operating conditions and support balanced connections. The cable uses high-quality OFC conductors, providing high resolution and clear sound across all ranges. Additionally, when connected to a player with a balanced output or a headphone amplifier using an additional balanced cable, unnecessary noises are suppressed, and a cleaner sound with greater separation clarity is reproduced.
