The T60RP 50th Anniversary is a special 50th anniversary model of the Fostex T60RP. It differs from the existing T60RP models in that it was manufactured in Japan, with each unit being meticulously assembled. It comes with new acoustic tuning and a choice of ear pads according to your preferences. The speaker diaphragm, developed in-house using Fostex Regular Phase (RP) technology, is made of polyamide film with copper foil etching. The neodymium magnet enables wide-frequency reproduction and excellent transient response, allowing the headphones to handle high input power up to 3000mW.
Equipped with the traditional RP diaphragm from Fostex, the flat RP diaphragm is made of heat-resistant polyamide film based on etched copper foil. The control unit with a neodymium magnet provides superior linearity, natural frequency response from lows to highs, good transient characteristics, and high input impedance up to 3000mW.
Constructed from a single piece of high-quality African paddock wood, known for its hardness, high specific weight, excellent dimensional stability, and beautiful wood surface, the wooden enclosure, combined with the expressive RP diaphragm, allows for depth and brilliance in the rich mid-low range, as well as comfortable sound quality in the subdued and extended high range.
The beautiful African paddock wooden enclosure adds depth and additional tonal coloration to the signature sound of the driver. Each wooden enclosure is made from natural wood, so there may be variations in grain, color, knots, etc., but it does not affect the sound quality. The headphones feature a TRRS 3.5mm jack with four contacts, allowing for balanced connection for high-fidelity sound reproduction without noise.
The key element of such transparent sound reproduction is the Regulated Phase technology, a proprietary technology for speaker and diaphragm manufacturing. Fostex has over twenty international patents for this technology and applies it successfully to microphones, headphones, and loudspeakers used by professionals worldwide. For the RP series headphones, the technology has been further refined - new diaphragms are made from polyamide film with copper foil etching, providing excellent resistance to high-power input signals peaking at 3000mW, ensuring clean sound regardless of volume.
Manufactured from durable materials and components according to the strictest quality standards, the Fostex T60RP are not only reliable but also very comfortable. The soft ear pads and wide self-adjusting headband provide maximum comfort during long listening sessions. Included in the package are two types of ear pads - synthetic leather and velour, both interchangeable according to preference. The ear pads provide a comfortable fit for extended listening. The synthetic leather type is pre-installed before shipping.
The cable connectors on the cups can be used for different cables depending on the operating conditions, supporting balanced connections. The cable features high-quality OFC conductor for high resolution and clear sound across all ranges. When connected to a player with a balanced output or a headphone amplifier using an additional balanced cable, unwanted noise is suppressed, producing cleaner sound with greater separation.
