The driving force behind the creation of Surround Be was the enhancement of the technologies used. The new system features the same woofers with W-cones and mid-range drivers as successfully used in Electra Be.
For the first time in these drivers, a second-generation W-membrane was installed - a brilliant solution where, thanks to a special manufacturing technology, it was possible to vary the thickness of the foam and the number of layers of fiberglass from the center to the periphery of the diaphragm.
