Focal Sopra №2
Sopra №2 is a modern acoustic system that perfectly combines dynamics, soundstage organization, and harmonic richness. The 3-way floor-standing model Focal Sopra №2 takes the second step in the Sopra series, slightly smaller in size and bass driver caliber compared to the flagship model of the line.

The Focal Sopra №2 acoustic system features a 27mm tweeter with a highly rigid ultra-lightweight domed beryllium tweeter. The tweeter is housed in a module made of a durable damping material – thermoformed polyurethane. The module includes a back chamber shaped like a reverse horn (IHL technology). This chamber absorbs the waves emitted by the rear side of the dome membrane, minimizing distortions and reducing the resonant frequency. The result is a clean sound with excellent dynamics and high resolution. The tweeter is protected by a mini grille, and the back of the module is also covered with a metal grille.
The Focal Sopra №2 utilizes a pair of 180mm woofers that provide tight, deep, and well-controlled bass. The woofers have W-cones composed of a special foamed material layer reinforced on both sides with thin layers of fiberglass. This lightweight sandwich construction achieves high rigidity and improves internal damping. The NIC technology stabilizes the magnetic field in which the coil is located, increasing dynamics and reducing distortions. A slightly forward tilted upper part of the enclosure houses the 165mm midrange driver with a similar W-cone construction and NIC technology. The suspension of the midrange driver has thickened portions acting as mass dampers (TMD technology), eliminating parasitic resonances that occur during membrane movement.
The module with the integrated tweeter provides a slight forward tilt of the upper part of the speaker, while the lower part of the column is slightly tilted backward. As a result, the waves emitted by all drivers reach the listening position at the same time (Focus Time technology). The thick 69mm front panel of the speaker has a sandwich structure, enhancing damping. The sides are non-parallel, and Helmholtz resonators are installed in the lower part of the enclosure, addressing internal standing wave issues. The port of the rear-facing port is integrated into the bottom of the speaker and directed into the tempered glass base with built-in adjustable stainless steel spikes.
The Focal Sopra №2 speakers feature a modern ergonomic design and are available in gloss lacquer or natural veneer finishes. The model is ideal for rooms up to 30 square meters and can easily handle larger spaces up to 70 square meters.
