*Sopra №2 is a modern acoustic system that combines dynamics, sound spatial organization, and harmonic richness excellently. The three-way floor-standing model, Focal Sopra №2, occupies the second position in the Sopra series, being slightly smaller in size and with bass drivers of a slightly smaller caliber compared to the flagship model of the range.

The Focal Sopra No.2 speaker system is equipped with a 27mm tweeter, which has a very rigid ultra-light concave dome covered with beryllium. The tweeter is housed in a module made of strong damping material - thermoformed polyurethane. Integrated into the module is a rear chamber, the shape of which resembles a reverse horn (IHL technology). The chamber absorbs the waves emitted by the rear side of the dome membrane, minimizing distortion and reducing the resonance frequency. As a result, clean sound with excellent dynamics and high resolution is guaranteed. A mini-grille is used to protect the tweeter, and the back of the module is also covered with a metal grille.
The Focal Sopra No. 2 utilizes a pair of 180mm woofers, providing a dense, sufficiently deep, and well-controlled bass. The woofers feature W-cones, comprised of a layer of special expanded material reinforced on both sides with thin layers of fiberglass. This lightweight sandwich construction achieves high rigidity and improves internal damping. The NIC technology is utilized to stabilize the magnetic field surrounding the coil, resulting in increased dynamics and reduced distortion. The slightly tilted upper part of the enclosure houses a 165mm midrange driver with a similar W-cone and NIC technology. The suspension of the midrange driver incorporates thickened sections that act as mass dampers (TMD technology), effectively eliminating any parasitic resonances that may occur during membrane movement.
The module with an integrated tweeter provides a slight forward tilt to the top part of the speaker, while the bottom part of the column is slightly tilted backward. As a result, the waves emitted by all the speakers reach the listening position at the same time (Focus Time technology). The thick 69-millimeter front panel of the speaker has a sandwich structure, which improves damping. The sides are non-parallel, and Helmholtz resonators are installed in the lower part of the enclosure, which solves the problem of internal standing waves. The port of the phase inverter is integrated into the bottom of the speaker and directed towards the base made of tempered glass with built-in adjustable spikes made of stainless steel.
The Focal Sopra №2 speakers have a modern ergonomic design and are available in glossy lacquer or natural veneer. The model is ideal for rooms up to 30 square meters and can easily handle rooms up to 70 square meters in size.
