The Focal Sopra Center central speaker is assembled in a well-dampened enclosure with a glossy lacquer finish and a rear-mounted port for the bass reflex system. Two screw terminals for connecting speaker cables are located in the rear. This model pairs perfectly with the Sopra No. 1 bookshelf speakers, as well as the Sopra No. 2 and Sopra No. 3 floorstanding speakers. A signature stand (optional) is available for this speaker.

The model is equipped with a 27mm tweeter covered by a protective metal grille, featuring a concave dome made of lightweight, durable, and rigid beryllium material. The tweeter utilizes IAL (Infinite Acoustic Loading) technology to dampen parasitic resonances and lower the resonance frequency. This tweeter covers a range of five octaves, reaching an upper limit of 40,000Hz, providing excellent transient response and detailed high frequencies with a linear frequency response.
The 80mm midrange driver handles the mid frequencies, while a pair of 165mm woofers reproduces the bass. All three drivers are equipped with special W-technology sandwich cones, featuring a central layer of special foamed material (structural foam) sandwiched between two thin fiberglass layers. This construction provides high rigidity, lightness, excellent internal damping, fast signal response, linear frequency response, and natural sound with minimal distortion. All three drivers are covered by individual round grilles.
