Focal Solo6 6ST - these are near-field studio monitors created for professionals. The acoustic system has an extended frequency range from 45 Hz to 40 kHz, exceeding the limits of auditory perception but significantly improving the perception of transient processes. A classic two-way design with a phase-inverted acoustic arrangement was used to create the speakers.
Thanks to the full-range Solo6 mode, it forms two monitors in one, keeping the main features during mixing, saving space on the console, and simplifying cable connections and monitor replacements. Solo6 boasts an inverted dome beryllium tweeter with a protective grille in the shape of the letter "M" and a low-frequency driver with a "W" cone, as well as a frequency range up to 10 kHz specially designed for the "Focus" mode.
All this is in addition to the patented Focal Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) technology, which reduces distortions in the frequency range of 1 kHz - 3 kHz by 50%, as well as high-frequency crossovers, automatic standby mode, and a 160 Hz crossover, making Solo6 a leading monitor in the industry.
Finally, to enjoy immersive listening with Dolby Atmos and Sony 360RA settings, the Solo 6 includes a mounting kit for wall and ceiling mounting.
The heart of the mid/low-frequency section is a 16.5 cm (6.5") mid/low driver with a three-layer composite W-cone diaphragm, combining neutral sound transmission, excellent articulation in the midrange, and dynamic, flat, honest bass. The inverted beryllium tweeter has an extended frequency range of 1000 Hz - 40 kHz to improve transmission characteristics and reduce intermodulation distortion.
The port of the phase inverter is located on the front panel, making it easy to place the monitors and allowing them to be installed even in small rooms. The ST6 range design uses a thick and durable material to achieve even greater rigidity and damping with fewer vibrations, and therefore fewer distortions.
Focus mode
The "Focus" mode allows you to switch the monitor to a single full-range driver mode, providing access to a different speaker driver configuration with a simple pedal press - as if there were a second pair of studio monitors with reduced dynamics to check the adaptability of mixing on smaller systems.
Unlike traditional sound amplifiers, the integrated amplifiers in Focal monitors, implemented with uncompromising BASH discrete technology, have a solid power reserve and a whole set of fundamental technical innovations to fully ensure the coordinated interaction of the amplifier and driver. The proprietary BASH technology significantly improves the quality parameters of the sound amplifying path, minimizing the negative impact of harmonic, intermodulation, and phase distortions.
To maximize the detection of defects, each component of Focal monitors undergoes multi-level control of all parameters during production, including a cycle of full test trials using the most advanced measuring instruments and control tools.
