The Focal Sib Evo series includes two types of satellites: regular two-way Sib Evo satellites, larger satellites with an additional vertical sound channel driver Sib Evo Dolby Atmos, as well as one Cub Evo subwoofer. You can purchase a ready-made 5.1 format set, or create your configuration by separately purchasing pairs of satellites and a subwoofer.
Features:
- speaker system set with subwoofer;
- subwoofer driver equipped with a 210mm Polyplex cone;
- maximum power of 200W;
- two-way Sib Evo satellites;
- suitable for rooms ranging from 10 to 50 sq.m.
Overall, the home theater configuration can be expanded by adding surround sound channels or enhancing the bass with an additional subwoofer. Additionally, you can use a large number of regular Sib Evo satellites to achieve direct Dolby Atmos sound without reflecting off the ceiling by placing a second level of surround sound speakers on the ceiling.
The subwoofer has relatively compact dimensions and unlike plastic glossy enclosures, it is clad in a more traditional laminated MDF with a deliberately sharp and bold texture, stylized to resemble either wood or milled aluminum.
The front features a large glossy bass reflex port, a gloss logo on top, and the rear panel, usually made plain and unattractive, is designed like a disc. If desired, the subwoofer can be displayed openly—it looks aesthetically pleasing from all sides.
The subwoofer driver is equipped with a 210mm Polyplex cone. In terms of subwoofer standards, it cannot be considered large. The wide rubber surround provides a sufficiently large range of motion, and the Class D amplifier gives reason to expect a fast response. The set of adjustments is standard: the crossover and volume are adjusted with potentiometers, and the phase with a discrete switch ranging from 0-180 degrees. The inputs are only low-level, with the option to connect a stereo cable.
The Sib Evo satellites have a very specific shape. The surfaces forming the top, bottom, and sides are identical, so the stand used for vertical mounting of the satellite can also be used for horizontal placement. In both cases, the column can be moved relative to the stand, directing the axis of emission towards the listening point. In the vertical position, the stand and column are securely fastened together with a screw.
The sound directionality of the speakers is quite wide and without sharp changes in sound character on the emission axis, which is very relevant for high-quality home theater operation—the comfort zone is wide, and it is not necessary to aim perfectly at one point.
