The TAM tweeter is an innovative development by Focal, manufactured in France. It provides a wide dispersion angle and higher sound resolution without directionality. Made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy inverted M-shaped dome, it maintains harmonic balance, accurately and cleanly reproducing high frequencies.
The TMD suspension with a damper is a patented innovation by Focal, highlighting midrange frequencies and eliminating any unwanted vibrations. The midrange frequencies require effective control since the suspension is located between the speaker's solid enclosure and the moving woofer. Thanks to our acoustics experts, we found a solution: the TMD technology that stabilizes the suspension to enhance tonal uniformity and sound neutrality.
The Aria Evo X series speakers (floorstanding, bookshelf, and center) come in three finish options: Black High Gloss, Prime Walnut, and Moss Green High Gloss. The leather-like fronts of different finish variants further emphasize the sophistication and unique character of the products. The magnetic covers included with the speakers ensure a neat integration into the interior.
The Flax woofer, patented by Focal and manufactured in our workshops, is a multi-layer "sandwich" construction made of fiber (French flax) sandwiched between two layers of fiberglass. The woofer meets all the requirements for high-quality products of this kind: it is lightweight to maintain high dynamic characteristics, rigid to retain bass, dampened for neutral, natural, uncolored sound, richness in the midrange and powerful low-end punch.
