Its midrange/woofer speaker allows the full potential of the Flax cone - an exclusive Focal technology that delivers natural and rich sound. Thanks to the TAM tweeter - another Focal innovation - the upper frequencies are reproduced accurately and softly. The Aria Evo N1 is intended for all music lovers. The TAM tweeter is an innovative development by Focal, made in France. The speaker provides a wide dispersion angle and higher sound resolution without directionality. Made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy with an inverted M-shaped dome diaphragm, it reliably maintains harmonic balance, detailed and cleanly reproducing high frequencies.
The TMD suspension with damper is a patented Focal innovation that emphasizes midrange frequencies and eliminates all unwanted vibrations. Midrange frequencies require efficient control since the suspension is situated between the speaker's solid enclosure and the moving diaphragm. Thanks to the expertise of our acoustics specialists, we found a solution: the TMD technology (from "Tuned Mass Damper"), which stabilizes the suspension to enhance tonal uniformity and sound neutrality.
The Aria Evo X series speakers (floor-standing, bookshelf, and center) are available in three finish options: Black High Gloss, Prime Walnut, and Moss Green High Gloss. The leather-like finishes of different variants further accentuate the sophistication and unique character of the products. The magnetic covers included with the speakers ensure a neat integration into the interior.
The Flax diaphragm, patented by Focal and made in our workshops, is a multi-layer "sandwich" construction made of fiber (French linen) sandwiched between two layers of glass fabric. The diaphragm meets all the requirements for high-quality products of this kind: it is lightweight to maintain high dynamic characteristics, rigid to retain bass, dampens for neutral, natural, uncolored sound, richness in midrange sound, and powerful low-frequency impact.
