The TAM tweeter is an innovative development by Focal, manufactured in France. The tweeter provides a wide angle of dispersion and higher sound resolution without directionality. Consisting of a diffuser with an inverted M-shaped dome made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, it accurately maintains harmonic balance, reproducing high frequencies in detail and with clarity.
The TMD suspension with damper is a patented Focal innovation that emphasizes mid-range frequencies and eliminates all unwanted vibrations. Mid-range frequencies require efficient control, as the suspension is located between the solid loudspeaker cabinet and the moving diffuser. Thanks to the expertise of our acoustics specialists, we have found a solution: the TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technology, which stabilizes the suspension to increase tonal uniformity and sound neutrality.
The Aria Evo X series speakers are available in three finishes: Black High Gloss, Prime Walnut, and Moss Green High Gloss. The leather-like facades of different finishing options further emphasize the refinement and unique character of the products. The magnetic covers supplied with the speakers ensure neat integration into the interior.
The Flax diffuser, patented by Focal and manufactured in our workshops, is a multi-layer "sandwich" construction made of fiber (French linen) placed between two layers of glass fiber. The diffuser meets all the requirements for high-quality products of this kind: it is lightweight to maintain high dynamic characteristics, rigid to hold bass, dampened for neutral, natural, and uncolored sound, rich sound in the mid-range, and powerful low-frequency impact.
