The Focal Alpha 80 EVO is a nearfield 2-way monitor with an 8" woofer. This monitor offers superior distortion performance and delivers high-quality neutral sound with a flat tonal balance at any volume level. The Focal Alpha 80 EVO features a 1-inch aluminum tweeter and an 8-inch low-frequency driver with a Slatefiber cone, which is a combination of recycled carbon fibers and a special thermoplastic polymer.
This combination provides excellent speed, damping, and driver stiffness characteristics. The monitor's amplifiers operate in class D and reproduce frequencies ranging from 38 to 22,000 Hz. The studio monitor has a stand-by function that puts it in standby mode after 15 minutes of no signal, which can be disabled using a switch on the rear panel. It includes controls for boosting/attenuating the bass and treble, as well as an input sensitivity switch. The monitor has XLR, RCA, and TRS connectors for connectivity and is designed to be placed vertically.
