The 300 IW LCR 6 in-ceiling/wall speaker is positioned in the middle of the 300 Series model range of the company. It is discreet and boasts a very good ratio of size and efficiency.
The membrane consists of a flax core covered with two layers of glass fiber. The environmentally friendly fabric gives the membrane lightness, strength, and the ability to soften the load. It also provides significant tonal neutrality. Excellent clarity in the midrange and good bass saturation. The 16.5cm diameter driver ensures good power handling and exceptional acoustic output, generating sound with a power of 92dB.
The TNV2 tweeters of the Focal 300 IW LCR 6 speakers have already been used in the Chorus and Easya ranges. This model features Focal's exclusive technology - the inverted dome, ensuring optimal energy transmission and limited directivity. The aluminum-magnesium alloy dome guarantees unique strength characteristics, softening high frequencies for a soft and energetic sound. The silky sound is further improved by the micro-porous PVC suspension supporting the dome. The tweeter of the Focal 300 IW LCR 6 speaker has 3 adjustable positions (-3 dB, 0 dB, +3 dB), allowing you to adjust the level of high frequencies in the listening area. The tweeter can also be tilted (±20°) and rotated 360°, allowing you to direct the tweeter to the listening area for increased accuracy in reproducing high frequencies and stereo imaging. These settings provide control over the off-axis frequency characteristics of the speaker.
The Focal 300 IW LCR 6 in-ceiling speaker is extremely easy to install. The included EQI (Easy Quick Installation) mounting frame is suitable for walls ranging from 5 to 30mm thick. No screws or tools are required. The frame is equipped with fixing tabs, supporting the system in the desired position. After installing the frame, simply insert the speaker and secure it by rotating a quarter turn. To complete the installation, you just need to choose between a square or round protective grille. Thanks to the magnets, you can easily mount it on the speaker. The grille is equipped with anti-vibration pads, limiting the risk of interference during listening. The white protective grille can be easily painted to seamlessly blend with your walls or ceiling. The speaker is dust-proof and moisture-resistant, making it suitable for use in bathrooms, kitchens, etc.
