The Final Audio DX3000CL sets a new standard for closed-back headphones, delivering deep bass and open, clean mid and high-range sounds.
The appeal of closed-back headphones lies in their rich bass reproduction, achieved through high sound isolation. However, if the bass is too overwhelming, vocals may be muffled, and the soundstage may seem narrow. The DX3000CL features 30mm memory foam ear pads that provide a high level of air-tightness regardless of head shape or whether you wear glasses, while also ensuring sufficient distance between the speaker and the ear. Combined with low distortion drivers and an internal structure that suppresses unwanted resonance, the engineers have achieved rich bass that only closed-back headphones can provide, along with open, clean mid and high frequencies.
DU Washi Paper and Carbon Diaphragm
Paper has long been used for building speaker diaphragms due to its high internal damping and light weight. The DX3000CL utilizes a special material made by blending carbon with washi paper to increase its strength. Additionally, to ensure smooth diaphragm operation, a free-edge design without grooves around the edges is used. The front panel protecting the driver is made of fiberglass-reinforced resin, known for its lightweight and high strength, resulting in superior performance and minimal deformation.
Mesh Rear Diffuser Structure Suppresses Unwanted Resonance
The space behind the driver features Final's proprietary "Rear Diffuser Array Structure" technology. By positioning thin ribs (diffusion plates) of various lengths and shapes, engineers designed the structure to eliminate parallel surfaces. This disperses sound reflections and effectively suppresses unwanted resonances inside the housing.
Replaceable Construction Parts for Long-Term Use
To ensure long-term use, Final minimized the use of adhesive, and the housing is designed for repair using sealing rings and precision screws.
Memory Foam Ear Pads for Comfortable Fit
The newly designed 30mm memory foam ear pads are made of synthetic leather and memory foam, providing a high level of air-tightness and a comfortable fit. The ear pads can be replaced tool-free.
New "OFC Straight Cable"
A new OFC straight cable has been specially developed for the DX3000CL. Included in the package is a 2-meter cable with a 4.4mm connector.
