The Fiio K5 is a docking station/headphone amplifier/DAC. Exclusively for FiiO players.
FiiO X series Hi-Fi players - X1, X3 II, X5 II, X5 III, X7, as well as the E17K amplifier/DAC, have an 11-pin Micro-USB port, which, when paired with the K5, allows for not only charging the batteries but also amplification and digital-to-analog conversion of the audio signal.
Easy to drive full-size headphones.
The K5 uses the TPA6120A2 amplifier module from TI and an exclusive technology to lower the output impedance to a negligible level (<1 ohm). The power increases to 1.5W for 32-ohm headphones. By utilizing an additional current amplification stage and providing efficient internal power, the K5 delivers high output current. The device has three gain modes for headphones with different sensitivities.
Exquisite design and excellent assembly.
Compared to the E series, the K5 has made a breakthrough in design and assembly. During its design, a smaller tolerance was implemented for all joints and connections of the housing elements, better surface treatment was used, and an independent front panel was incorporated.
Synchronized power on/off for maximum convenience.
When turning on/off the K5, the connected X1, X3 II, X5 II, X5 III, X7, or E17K will synchronize and turn on/off simultaneously. This function is very convenient for users and demonstrates full integration of the connected devices.
