The Dutch & Dutch 8c Studio active studio monitor features a built-in digital-to-analog converter, amplifier, DSP digital processing unit, and Ethernet network control. The speakers can be used in classic stereo mode or to create a multi-channel home theater system up to Dolby Atmos standards. The speakers can also be mounted on the ceiling using special U-shaped brackets.
Features:
- High-quality DAC, amplifier, and DSP in one unit;
- Cardioid directivity diagram from 100 Hz;
- Precise sound reproduction;
- Two 8-inch subwoofers on the back panel;
- Advanced design with a 25mm dome tweeter and 200mm midbass driver;
- 25mm dome tweeter in a deep waveguide.
The speakers easily integrate into a multi-room system and deliver incredibly smooth and accurate sound. The room correction system helps to achieve the best results when placing the speakers in the room. In contrast to the 8c version, the 8c Studio does not have music streaming functionality and the entire housing is made of MDF.
To create an outstanding acoustic system, it is not enough to just place speakers in a wooden cabinet, it is necessary to carefully select components. The main goal for Dutch & Dutch 8c Studio is incredibly accurate playback. Thanks to the cardioid directivity, you can perceive music exactly as the author intended, regardless of the surrounding space.
We are looking at a large bookshelf speaker system that will confidently perform even in small spaces - whether it's a control room or a hall. The sound will be focused in front of the speaker system, while the bass drivers on the back panel will provide deep bass sound.
Room adaptation
Adjust the system to the room, not the room to the system. For better alignment with the studio space, Dutch & Dutch 8c Studio features room correction through the free Room Eq Wizard software.
Advanced design
Dutch & Dutch 8c Studio feature a 25mm dome tweeter located in a patented waveguide. The tweeter reproduces frequencies from 1250 Hz without the risk of overheating or failure. The 200mm dynamic driver with an aluminum diffuser and phase plug control the midbass range, providing better sound control. The housing is made of MDF, and there are threads for mounting special hangers on the sides.
All in one
The Dutch & Dutch 8c Studio active speaker system combines a high-quality DAC, amplifier, and DSP digital processing. Users have various connection options: balanced XLR analog input, AES3 digital input, pass-through output, and Ethernet connection for monitoring and adjustment. Even at high sound pressure levels, the 8c Studio delivers precise sound with a very high signal-to-noise ratio.
There is also the possibility of streaming through streaming services. All components are perfectly matched and provide "powerful sound" at a level of 106 dB continuously from 35 Hz and above, while maintaining a very high signal-to-noise ratio. The amplifier delivers 500 watts to the low-frequency section and 250 watts to the midrange and tweeter. The amplifier operates in class D and is named Pascal Audio.
Unique design
The front panel is made of ABS plastic with a matte texture and is resistant to fingerprints. The base of the housing is made of MDF. The design of the 8c is created to look as clean as it sounds. On the sides of Dutch & Dutch 8c Studio are large rectangular ports, which are one of the most interesting distinctive features of the speakers.
This design feature helps implement a cardioid directivity pattern for the speakers at frequencies from 100 Hz, allowing the speakers to be placed close to the wall and achieve a more open, airy sound.
