Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System (AMTS)

Headphones are susceptible to the influence of standing waves at higher frequencies, causing instruments such as strings, drum cymbals, and even vocals to sound distorted and lack expression. The Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System is a patented technology that operates between the transducer and the listener's ear. This technology combines waveguides, diffusion control, quarter-wave, and Helmholtz resonators into a compact structure to eliminate standing waves, significantly enhancing the overall performance of the headphones.

Diffusion elements reduce the formation of standing waves, while the resonators act as precision, wideband filters, smoothing and shaping the frequency response from midrange to the highest frequencies. New Design

EXPANSE inherits its design from STEALTH headphones, but adds a unique grille based on mathematical functions derived from generative design principles, creating a unique and stylish appearance. The high-quality black leather headband with a thin blue stitch creates a quilted head strap that not only looks great but is also functionally comfortable. The elegant embroidered logo adds a touch of color to the all-black aesthetics of EXPANSE.

Mechanical sliders for fit adjustment are a thing of the past: Dan Clark Audio has developed a convenient "self-adjusting suspension system" that allows the headphones to be properly positioned on the head. Weighing only 418 grams, EXPANSE is one of the lightest premium-class headphones on the market.
