Each speaker is equipped with two 8-inch low-frequency drivers with reinforced wood fiber cones, a 6.5-inch midrange driver, and a hybrid tweeter consisting of a 28mm dome driver and ribbon tweeter. Thanks to the precisely engineered cabinet and custom-made drivers, the Dali Opticon 8 MK2 speakers provide detailed, immersive sound with deep bass and impressive soundstage. The Opticon 8 MK2 speakers feature gold-plated input terminals for Bi-wiring and Bi-Amping connectivity.
Low-Frequency Section:The front panel of the Dali Opticon 8 MK2 houses five sound drivers operating through a 3.5-way crossover. The bass section utilizes two 8-inch drivers with pressed paper-wood fiber cones and powerful magnets incorporating additional SMC components to reduce sound distortion. These bass drivers operate in a 1.5-way design, with a separate 6.5-inch midrange driver optimized for mid-frequency reproduction. This configuration ensures natural and balanced sound for vocals and acoustic instruments.
High-Frequency Section:The high-frequency section of the Dali Opticon 8 MK2 consists of a 29mm dome tweeter and an additional ribbon super-tweeter for frequencies above 14000 Hz. This setup provides airy and detailed sound, enhancing the listening experience across various music genres. Placing the tweeters between the midrange and bass drivers at ear level of the seated listener contributes to accurate stereo imaging and overall balanced sound from the speakers.
The speakers feature Dual Flare phase inverters for silent and efficient operation, along with a rear panel input terminal block allowing dual cable connections to the amplifier.
