Each speaker is equipped with two 8-inch low-frequency drivers (with reinforced wood fiber cones), a 6.5-inch midrange driver, and a hybrid tweeter consisting of a 1.1-inch dome driver and a ribbon driver. With a precisely designed enclosure and custom drivers, the Dali Opticon 8 MK2 provides detailed, rich sound with deep bass and impressive soundstage. The Opticon 8 MK2 comes with gold-plated input terminals for Bi-wiring and Bi-Amping connections.
Low-Frequency Section:
The front panel of the DALI Opticon 8 MK2 features five sound drivers operating through a 3.5-way crossover. The bass section utilizes two 8-inch drivers with pressed paper-wood fiber diaphragms and powerful magnets with an additional SMC component to eliminate sound distortion. These drivers operate in a 1.5-way configuration, while a separate 6.5-inch midrange driver is included for optimized mid-frequency reproduction, providing natural and balanced vocal and instrumental sound.
High-Frequency Section:
The high-frequency section of the DALI Opticon 8 MK2 consists of a 1.1-inch dome driver and an additional ribbon super tweeter for frequencies above 14000 Hz. This setup delivers an airy and detailed sound, making music listening engaging. Placing the tweeters between the midrange and bass drivers at the listener's ear level helps in stereo imaging and ensures a coherent and accurate sound output from the Opticon 8 MK2.
The speaker features Dual Flare porting for silent and efficient operation and a input terminal block for dual cable connections to the amplifier.
