To create the DALI OBERON series of speakers, we selected the best elements of our speakers and combined them into a series that combines sound quality, design, and versatility. The floor-standing three-way OBERON 9 speakers use one 7-inch and two 9-inch SMC woofers with paper-fiber cones. The upper frequencies are handled by a soft dome tweeter with an ultra-light 29mm cone.
All of this, combined with a large yet elegant cabinet, allows for excellent reproduction of deep bass and filling the room with rich, detailed sound. Despite their size, these speakers are very elegant and impress with their ability to naturally and accurately reproduce any musical style. The OBERON 9 speakers are suitable for almost any audio system and any music and movies. Despite their size, the OBERON 9 speakers easily fit into any interior, in any room. The materials used for the drivers, the crossover layout, and the cabinet geometry of the OBERON series are optimized for a wide dispersion diagram.
This achieves uniform and high-quality sound even when listening outside the sweet spot, away from the central axis. This is important because we don't always sit directly in front of the speakers when listening to music. Another plus of this approach is a significant reduction in harmonic and frequency distortions. This is also why DALI speakers do not need to be tilted.
Modern design:
The rounded edges and unique fabric texture of the new DALI grilles give the OBERON series a lighter and more modern look. In the floor-standing models, this is complemented by an elegantly shaped aluminum plinth.
SMC technology:
The iron pole piece of the OBERON woofers is topped with a soft magnetic compound (SMC) disc, which minimizes the negative properties of iron. SMC technology significantly reduces mechanical distortions. And that means you'll get more enjoyment out of listening to music!
Paper cone woofers:
The OBERON series uses woofers with a paper pulp cone reinforced with wood fibers. This material is simultaneously very light and rigid. Thanks to this, the woofers reproduce the finest nuances of the signal excellently - without any coloration and very accurately.
Convenient placement:
The materials used for the drivers, the crossover layout, and the cabinet geometry of the OBERON series are optimized for wide dispersion. This leads to excellent sound even when not listening from the optimal listening position. Another advantage is a significant reduction in harmonic distortions. That's why DALI speakers don't need to be tilted.
