The compact device Clearaudio Phonostage Nano Phono V2 is a MM/MC phono preamplifier.
Features:
- Support for MM and MC cartridges
- Subsonic filter
- Circuitry: dual mono
- Gain: 48 dB (MM), 68 dB (MC)
- Signal-to-noise ratio: 70 dB (MC), 81 dB (MM)
- Channel separation: 80 dB
The unit is housed in a metal casing, featuring a simple design and high-quality construction and finish. On the top panel of Clearaudio Phonostage Nano Phono V2, there is a power on/off button. The device is equipped with RCA input and output connectors. The casing has three anti-resonant supports, providing good stability on any surface. The phono preamplifier has an external power supply, separating this potential source of electrical interference from the sensitive amplifier circuits.
The device is designed according to the dual mono principle, ensuring good stereo channel separation and a wide sound stage with precise imaging. The preamplifiers for MM and MC cartridges are mounted on separate boards, using precision SMD components to reduce the length of the audio signal transmission paths. Several micro switches are provided on the bottom panel of Clearaudio Phonostage Nano Phono V2 for adjusting the operating modes. These switches allow you to set the input type of the phono preamplifier (MM or MC), input impedance (resistance and capacitance), and if necessary, activate the subsonic filter.
The phono preamplifier is highly sensitive to electromagnetic interference, so this should be taken into account when choosing a location for installation. To connect Clearaudio Phonostage Nano Phono V2 to a vinyl player (tonearm), a special interconnect cable with a separate grounding contact is used.
