Chord 2Go is an additional module for the Chord Hugo 2 DAC with a headphone amplifier. With the help of 2Go, you can connect Hugo 2 to Wi-Fi, LAN, and Bluetooth, stream music to it from your local network or the internet via a regular mobile app on your smartphone (DLNA, AirPlay). Chord 2Go also features a built-in card reader for 2 MicroSD cards, with a maximum capacity of 2 TB. The device runs on a lithium-ion battery, providing up to 12 hours of music playback at moderate volume.
Consider 2Go as a mediator between your local network, internet, and Hugo 2 DAC, another digital input, conditionally called "streaming/internet/local network/SD card." 2Go supports all high-resolution formats and subscriptions to music streaming services like TIDAL and Qobuz.
Chord 2Go enables wireless connection to your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, eliminating the need for a cable to transmit music. With Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies, 2Go offers various ways to access music content: streaming via Wi-Fi, playing tracks stored on network drives or SD cards. The ability to use Bluetooth and AirPlay enhances the device's functional flexibility with different smartphones. Once connected, 2Go becomes one of the output options for music apps or servers like DLNA, AirPlay, Roon, mpd. Its operation can be controlled through an app available for Android or iOS.
A key feature of 2Go is its automatic switching between all inputs, providing users with convenience when playing music from different sources or even streaming services.
For use without Hugo 2 and as a standalone network player-transporter ("streamer"), Chord Electronics offers the 2Yu module.
