The portable DAC-amplifier for headphones Cayin RU7, equipped with a digital-to-analog converter with a "ladder" 1-bit R2R structure, replaces the successful Cayin RU6 model and is based on solutions first used in the portable player N7.
The main feature of the model is that the digital-to-analog converter block is built on a proprietary resistive matrix. The DAC can work with PCM digital signals with a sampling rate of up to 384 kHz and native DSD 256 stream.
A USB-C port is used for signal input, and headphone and line outputs are organized on 3.5mm and 4.4mm jacks. The output power on the balanced output is 400mW with a 32ohm load.
The lateral panel has physical buttons for switching operating modes and volume adjustment. The small display shows the signal level and parameters, as well as the active output. The device's body is milled from a solid aluminum billet and has dimensions of 66 x 24 x 12mm and weighs 25 grams. The package also includes a green protective case.
