Townus 90 speakers are based on Titanium mid/woofer drivers designed to provide dynamic and bass-rich sound with powerful midrange. The tweeters are made of aluminum oxide ceramic. The company paid attention to gold-plated terminals, magnetic grilles, and finish with natural veneer.
The three-way floor-standing Townus 90 speakers impress with their restrained elegant cabinet design and noble surfaces that exude timeless elegance. Other features include high-quality aluminum rings of the speaker cabinet produced by seamless diamond cutting, fabric panels rounded at the corners, which magnetically adhere to the partitions. And last but not least, the elegant wooden base with four metal legs serves as a sturdy foundation for the slim floor-standing speakers. The large phase inverter channel, hidden from the listener's view at the bottom of the cabinet, extends the frequency response downwards. Thanks to the downward-facing phase inverter port, acoustic stimulation of the room is uniform - delivering precise, deep bass without any tendency for booming.
Design and Technology
The robust cabinet of the three-way floor-standing Townus 90 speakers is reinforced several times from the inside and equipped with high-quality internal cable routing. Strategically placed insulation material inside the cabinet and selected high-quality crossover components optimize the sound of these approximately 24 kg speakers. The four drivers, delivering the renowned Canton sound in the slim Townus 90 speakers, are state-of-the-art. Three 174 mm drivers with titanium diffusers provide dynamic bass and detailed powerful midrange frequencies.
Thanks to the bass drivers with stiff dual-cone membranes and low distortion with Wave Volume Acoustic technology, the Townus 90 reproduces accurately and calmly even at high sound levels. Combined with the patented direct current technology, the 174 mm bass duo in the cabinet with a phase inverter reproduces powerful and accurate bass without uncontrolled membrane deviations in the case of low tones. The practical 25 mm ceramic dome tweeter made of aluminum oxide shines with detailed and precise sound. The precisely calculated waveguide for perfect sound radiation and imaging optimizes the speaker's reproduction up to 40,000 Hz.
