The model GLE 80 occupies the middle position in the lineup with an excellent price-to-quality ratio and is named GLE 80. Although the speaker with its moderate dimensions appears visually understated, it impresses with a dynamic and mature soundstage. The best and most modern technologies find their place on the front panel of the speakers, creating a unique Canton sound with new outstanding titanium drivers that form the basis of the current series.
The GLE 80 model is a new format in the series. A powerful and dynamic 3-way acoustic system. The famous combination finish with a front panel coated with matte lacquer. Superb tweeters with membranes made of an aluminum and manganese alloy allow for detailed and undistorted sound. In the GLE series systems, all midrange and woofer drivers are equipped with pure titanium diaphragms.
This has allowed for even more natural sound. This is truly a technological breakthrough for acoustic systems in this price range. In the GLE 90, 90AR, and 80 models, the woofer drivers have a titanium diaphragm made of two layers, providing not only an ideal appearance but also unique sound properties. The bass range has gained additional depth and texture.
Better technologies than ever before!
Striving for better sound means more work and the use of the latest technologies. Precise, powerful bass is achieved through two 174mm woofers located in a massive cabinet.
The speaker design incorporates a phase inverter principle. Instead of previous drivers with aluminum diaphragms, new drivers with innovative titanium diaphragms are now used: they can more accurately follow fast musical impulses. In the acoustically crucial midrange, Canton also uses titanium drivers in all GLE series models.
With the enlarged 174mm midrange driver, the GLE 80 sounds incredibly transparent and precise, with excellent dynamics, outstanding resolution, and unmatched tonal balance. Canton uses highly regarded aluminum-manganese tweeters with 25mm domes as tweeters, equipped with a special waveguide for perfect sound dispersion.
Thanks to optimized crossovers, such tweeters provide reproduction up to 40,000Hz. The outstanding technical equipment of the current generation of GLE is further complemented by geometrically perfect polycarbonate baskets, powerful magnets that undergo a magnetization process directly at the Canton factory, new triple wave surrounds providing incredible diaphragm linearity. This achieves high sound pressure with minimal distortion.

The 3-way GLE 80 speakers are modern and neutral in design and can be integrated into any living room thanks to their harmonious proportions. A feature of the current GLE series is the black fabric grilles, which are attached to the speakers using magnets. They are rounded at the corners, giving the floorstanding speakers an independent attractive appearance.
