The smallest floor-standing speaker in the range with an excellent balance of price and quality is called the GLE 70. Despite its moderate size, this speaker impresses with a dynamic and mature soundstage. The best and most modern technologies are featured on the front panel of the speaker, creating the unique Canton sound thanks to the new outstanding titanium drivers that are the foundation of the current series.
Two 174mm titanium drivers (one midrange and one woofer) in an optimally sized bass reflex enclosure reproduce frequencies cleanly and powerfully. They are equipped with sturdy polycarbonate baskets, powerful magnet drives that allow the drivers to operate very dynamically with minimal distortion – a unique property for this size and price range.
As ideal partners to the midrange and woofer drivers, time-tested aluminum-manganese high-frequency dome drivers with a 25mm dome are used in the speakers. Equipped with complex waveguides for optimal sound dispersion and optimized crossovers, they can reproduce frequencies up to 40,000 Hz.
The 2.5-way GLE 70 speaker system has a modern design. Its compact size allows the system to be harmoniously integrated into almost any interior. A decorative feature of the current GLE series is the black fabric grilles that attach to the front panel with magnets. Their rounded corners add attractiveness to the floor-standing speakers.
