Bryan Guy Adams is a Canadian rock musician, photographer, guitarist, singer-songwriter, and performer who began his career in show business in 1976, initially as a member of rock bands. His debut solo album was released in 1980, and in 1985 he first topped the Billboard Hot 100 with the rock ballad "Heaven". It was this genre that brought him success around the world.
