The renowned British premium audio brand Bowers & Wilkins has introduced a new version of the award-winning wireless monobloc audio system Zeppelin, created in collaboration with their longtime partner McLaren Automotive. The new version of the speaker, inspired by McLaren, is dedicated to the partnership between the two leading brands as well as the 60th anniversary of McLaren. Best-in-class sound is combined with the iconic McLaren design.

After the success of the Px8 McLaren Edition headphones, Bowers & Wilkins has created a special version of the wireless speaker Zeppelin, featuring an exquisite galvanic grey finish with subtle papaya orange accents inspired by McLaren Automotive's design approach. Reflecting the technical and operational aesthetics of McLaren, the Zeppelin McLaren Edition offers high-quality sound synonymous with the Bowers & Wilkins brand, combined with a design that unites McLaren car enthusiasts with the visual identity of the McLaren brand.
In conjunction with the release of the new Zeppelin McLaren Edition, Bowers & Wilkins has introduced the ability to build a multi-room wireless system. The new model, along with all compatible Zeppelin devices, will now feature enhanced multi-room capability - both with Panorama 3 and the Formation range of wireless speakers. This allows Bowers & Wilkins users to easily connect and set up their home distributed wireless audio system - all easily done through the Bowers & Wilkins Music app.
The new Zeppelin is a full stereo system in one enclosure, equipped with separate left and right channel drivers surrounding a central large woofer, driven by amplifiers with a total power of 240W. These premium components are installed in an ultra-rigid enclosure optimized using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The enclosure is carefully crafted to provide the best acoustic characteristics, with minimal edge framing around each driver for excellent sound dispersion. The result is room-filling stereo sound that cannot be matched by any competitor in a single enclosure.
Two mechanically decoupled tweeters with dual aluminum domes on the new Zeppelin initially appeared in the award-winning 600 Series Anniversary. Installed at the far edges of the enclosure and completely isolated from the vibrations of the enclosure generated by other larger drivers, they provide wide, spacious, and extremely precise sound.
The tweeters support 90mm mid-range drivers, using Bowers & Wilkins' proprietary Fixed Suspension Transducer (FST) technology found in all the company's premium floor-standing speakers, including the reference 800 Diamond Series selected for Abbey Road studios.
Finally, the new 150mm woofer adds deep, detailed, and refined bass to the open, high-resolution sound of the combined system. Positioned in the center of the Zeppelin design, its construction is carefully optimized to avoid unwanted "rocking" of the enclosure during operation, resulting in cleaner sound and faster bass delivery.
Each generation of Zeppelin has been the best-sounding system of its time. The new Zeppelin, combining proven driver technologies with a new high-resolution audio streaming platform, is simply the best today. The collective result of designer efforts is exceptional musical performance, whether from wireless sources or streaming services.
If you want to stream music from your mobile device, tablet, or computer, the new Zeppelin supports both AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth aptX Adaptive, making it suitable for both iOS and Android users. Spotify fans can enjoy the convenience of Spotify Connect, providing high-quality sound and easy, simple control. Best of all, the new Zeppelin can also be controlled via the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, providing instant access to a multitude of streaming services including Deezer, Last.fm, Qobuz, Soundcloud, TIDAL, and TuneIn. New services are regularly added to this list.
Additional Features
If you need to connect your Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin to your home network via a wired connection, you can connect an Ethernet cable to the USB-C service port on the rear panel of the speaker using an Ethernet - USB-C adapter (not included). Zeppelin fully supports this type of connection.
The USB-C port is used solely for service purposes and does not support direct playback via USB.
