B&W M-1 Acoustic System
The B&W M-1 loudspeaker is an updated versatile compact satellite, part of the branded Mini Theatre line designed for small spaces. Bowers & Wilkins already offers ready-made solutions based on this speaker - the miniature sets MT-60D and MT-50 for home theaters, which include one subwoofer and 5 speakers of this model.

The design of the model features smooth modern forms. Its rigid housing with a rear-mounted bass reflex port consists of two cast parts, one of which is an integrated grille made of curved perforated steel mesh. Behind it is a new inch tweeter with an aluminum dome membrane on a specially developed suspension and a conical diffraction tube, similar to those used in the famous Nautilus models.
This construction helps to absorb sound waves emanating from the back of the membrane, providing high detail and accuracy in sound. The same engineers who were involved in creating the best Hi-Fi speakers of the company, including the CM series, worked on the development of the tweeter. The mid/bass driver has a rigid 100mm diaphragm made of woven fiberglass. It is equipped with a resonance damping cap made of foamed polymer, which reduces parasitic vibrations, ensuring transparency in the midrange frequencies. The frequency bands are separated at the 4000 Hz mark.
The B&W M-1 satellites have an extended directivity diagram. The frequency range extends up to 23 kHz. The models come with desktop stands to which a rod is attached, with a ball joint at the connection with the enclosure, allowing the speaker to be tilted upwards and 90 degrees to the side, transforming it into a full-fledged center channel speaker.
The layout of the speaker cable connection is quite unusual, resembling the power cord attachment in a desk lamp. A mounting key is hidden in the recess of the rubber pad on the stand, making it easy to detach. Wall mounting brackets are included in the package. Optional tall stands are also available.
