B&W Diamond DB2D Subwoofer
The B&W Diamond DB2D subwoofer belongs to the new DB lineup and holds a higher position compared to its younger sibling, the DB3D. It features larger ten-inch woofers that are oppositely positioned and facing in opposite directions, allowing for reduced cabinet vibrations and precise, deep low frequencies with minimal distortion. These drivers are equipped with Aerofoil diaphragms and correspond to the woofers installed in the flagship 800 D3 floorstanding speaker, making the subwoofer an ideal match for speakers from the well-known 800 Diamond series. B&W notes that this model also pairs well with other speaker series, including the CM range, as well as with speakers from other manufacturers.

The Aerofoil diaphragms have varying thickness and increased strength at critical points, resulting in linear piston-like membrane movement. According to B&W, these diaphragms can withstand deformations and bending longer than standard speaker cones.
The rigid B&W Diamond DB2D cabinet boasts a heavy weight and excellent damping. The subwoofer is powered by an efficient kilowatt Class D amplifier and modern digital preamplifier, providing the necessary power output at all times. Dynamic EQ and Room EQ functions allow for sound tuning according to room characteristics, ensuring effective performance in any audio system setup, be it a home theater, a triphonic system, or a specialized installation.
To operate the B&W Diamond DB2D, users need to install an app on Android or iOS smartphones/tablets (the subwoofer supports Bluetooth connectivity). The app allows for adjusting settings, controlling the model, and conducting quick auto-calibration using Room EQ function and the smartphone's built-in microphone.
The subwoofer features two asymmetrical RCA inputs and a full balanced XLR input. There are also a pair of trigger inputs for remote activation/standby mode and input selection. An RS-232 interface is present for control via automated systems. This model is suitable for both theatrical installations and two-channel audio systems, offering high performance and fast bass response.
