Bowers & Wilkins ASW610XP Subwoofer
The Bowers & Wilkins ASW610XP model by the reputable English company Bowers & Wilkins is the most powerful among the subwoofers in its 600 series. It is designed to be used in large rooms as part of a home theater system or as an additional low-frequency unit in stereo systems with bookshelf or small floorstanding speakers.
The sealed cabinet with a bass driver installed in the front is perfectly damped, and the build quality is immaculate, typical of the British brand. The large 250mm long-throw woofer features a powerful rubber surround and a cone made of cellulose combined with Kevlar fibers and special bonding resins, providing the necessary stiffness, lightness, elasticity, and durability. This model's special feature is the use of two digital Class D ICEpower amplifiers with a total power of 500W. Two specially combined voice coils are used for the diaphragm.
The rear panel of the Bowers & Wilkins ASW610XP includes a power indicator and a socket for connecting the power cable, a switch with three modes (On, Auto power on/off function, and standard Standby), separate volume controls for the line-level and high-level inputs, a crossover frequency selection knob, an LPF filter selector, a three-position bass extension switch adjusting the depth of the low-frequency range. There is also a two-position equalizer, a phase switch (0 – 180°), a trigger socket, RCA line input connectors, and two pairs of screw terminals for speaker systems.
Adjustable height spikes and rubber feet for decoupling the cabinet from the floor are included in the package. A removable grille is provided to protect the bass driver membrane.
