B&W ASW610 Active Subwoofer
The B&W ASW610 model occupies a mid-range position in the line of active subwoofers that are part of the updated six hundred series of B&W acoustic systems. The classic cubic design of the subwoofer's closed enclosure is characterized by excellent inertness. There are two finish options available - matte black or white. Rubber feet and adjustable spikes are included for floor decoupling.

The Bowers & Wilkins ASW610 features a large ten-inch bass driver with a long excursion diaphragm. The driver is equipped with a powerful dual suspension, and the diaphragm material is a mixture of kevlar fibers and paper pulp, reinforced with synthetic resins, ensuring the required rigidity and strength. As a result, precise, dynamic, and natural sound is guaranteed. The subwoofer has a high-performance 200-watt amplifier built-in, operating in class D and meeting audiophile standards. With such amplification, the model does not overheat even under heavy load.
On the back panel of the subwoofer, there are line-level (low-level) and speaker-level (high-level) inputs, with the former presented by two RCA jacks, and the latter with four terminal screws. Each input has a separate volume control. There is also a knob for selecting the LPF (low pass filter) cutoff frequency and a selector to bypass this filter for the line input.
The BASS Extension function is available, allowing for bass extension controlled by a three-position switch. The signal phase can also be inverted using slide switches, and one of two EQ presets can be selected. Preset "A" is suitable for corner placement or in a reverberant room, while preset "B" is ideal for damped spaces or for placing the B&W ASW610 (2018) outside room corners for listening.
For automatic activation of the model when turning on an AV processor or AV receiver, a trigger input can be used.
