Bowers & Wilkins ASW610 Active Subwoofer
The B&W ASW610 model holds a middle position in the line of active subwoofers that are part of the updated 600 series of B&W acoustic systems. The subwoofer's classic cubic design features a closed enclosure known for its exceptional inertness. You can choose between two finishes - matte black or white. The set includes rubber feet and adjustable spikes for floor decoupling.

The Bowers & Wilkins ASW610 utilizes a large ten-inch bass driver with a long throw diffuser. The driver is equipped with a powerful dual suspension system, and the diffuser is made from a blend of kevlar fibers and paper mass strengthened with synthetic resins to provide the required rigidity and strength. The result is precise, dynamic, and natural sound. The subwoofer features a high-performance 200-watt amplifier that operates in Class D and meets audiophile standards. With this amplification, the model does not overheat even under heavy loads.
The rear panel of the subwoofer includes linear (low-level) and speaker (high-level) inputs, with the first represented by two RCA connectors and the second by four screw terminals. Each input has a separate volume control. There is also a knob for selecting the LPF filter cutoff frequency and a selector to bypass the filter for the linear input.
The BASS Extension function is available, allowing you to expand the bass and is controlled by a three-position switch. Sliders can be used to invert the signal phase and choose one of the two EQ presets. Preset "A" is suitable for placing the subwoofer in a corner or a reverberant room, while preset "B" works well in damped spaces or for installation outside room corners for listening.
For automatic activation when turning on an AV processor or AV receiver, a trigger input can be used.
