Unique, innovative design
For over 15 years, each new generation of Zeppelin has been one-of-a-kind with a truly beautiful and unique design in its class - and, like all Bowers & Wilkins products, its shape is determined by acoustic principles. The new and completely redesigned Zeppelin is available in two finishes, one dark (midnight gray) and the other light (pearl gray), and now features a switchable, adjustable backlight to create a halo effect on the metal stand.
Designed for superior sound
The new Zeppelin is a full stereo system in one housing, equipped with separate left and right channel speakers positioned around a central large woofer, powered by amplifiers totaling 240W. These premium components are installed in an ultra-rigid housing, optimized with Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The housing is carefully crafted to provide the best acoustic characteristics, with minimal enclosure around each driver for superior sound dispersion. The result is room-filling stereo sound that no competitor in a single housing can match.
The two mechanically decoupled tweeters with double aluminum domes of the new Zeppelin first appeared in the award-winning 600 Anniversary Series. They are mounted on the far edges of the housing and completely isolated from vibrations generated by other, larger drivers, providing wide, spatial, and extremely precise sound.
The tweeters support 90mm midrange drivers using Bowers & Wilkins' patented Fixed Suspension Transducer (FST) technology, which is used in all the company's premium floor-standing speakers, including the reference 800 Diamond Series chosen for the Abbey Road studio.
Finally, the new 150mm woofer adds deep, detailed, and refined bass to the open sound of the high-resolution combined system. Installed at the center of the Zeppelin design, its construction is carefully optimized to avoid unwanted cabinet vibrations during operation, resulting in cleaner sound and faster bass transmission.
Each generation of Zeppelin has been the best sound system of its time. The new Zeppelin, combining proven speaker technologies with a new high-resolution audio streaming platform, is simply the best today. The result of the designers' efforts is exceptional musical performance, whether from wireless sources or streaming services.
Music you love, instantly
If you want to stream music from your mobile device, tablet, or computer, the new Zeppelin supports both AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth aptX Adaptive, making it suitable for both iOS and Android users. Spotify fans can enjoy the convenience of Spotify Connect, providing high-quality sound and convenient, simple control. And best of all, the new Zeppelin can also be controlled using the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, which provides instant access to a multitude of streaming services, including Deezer, Last.fm, Qobuz, Soundcloud, TIDAL, and TuneIn. New services are regularly added to this list.
Smart, multi-room, intuitive
The new Zeppelin offers a built-in Alexa voice assistant system: no external components are needed. Just ask for the song, and your Zeppelin will comply. If you prefer, you can also control your Zeppelin with physical buttons on the top of the rear panel of its elegant housing. Finally, the new Zeppelin is designed to serve you for a long time. Its powerful digital "brain" can be upgraded over time, and in early 2022, multi-room system capability is planned - in multiple rooms. This will make Zeppelin compatible with other new Zeppelins in a multi-room environment, as well as (if you prefer) with the Formation family-based system - high-resolution wireless speakers from Bowers & Wilkins.
Beauty of sound
With the new Zeppelin, you no longer have to choose between a fully functional wireless speaker with all the necessary streaming services, an elegant, refined design, and high-quality sound that fills the room. Now you can have both - together and at once.
More possibilities
If you need to connect your Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin to your home network via a wired connection, you can connect an Ethernet cable to the USB-C service port on the back panel of the speaker using an Ethernet - USB-C adapter (not included). Zeppelin fully supports this type of connection.
Otherwise, the USB-C port is only used for service and does not support direct playback via USB.
Package includes:
- Portable speaker
- Power cable
